Our Approach - Private Personalized Instruction

The purpose of private yoga instruction—either one-on-one or in a small group—is to identify and then regularly practice the series of poses that most enhance your body, mind and spirit. Unlike a yoga studio which offers public group classes in the studio’s space, we come to you in the space of your choice and tailor your yoga sessions to meet your individual needs.

Consultation. We start with an initial in-person consultation to discuss your particular needs and goals, both physical and mental. We then determine how many sessions you'd like and how often you'd like to schedule them. Generally, a session lasts 60 or 90 minutes, depending on your needs, goals, and preferences.

Sessions. Each session integrates basic components of yoga. We’ll teach you proper breathing exercises, assist you with physical poses, guide you through meditation, and finally lead you through relaxation poses designed to help you fully let go. We will encourage you to delve into yourself to reveal answers that lie dormant within, and be by your side through your process of illumination.

Frequency. During your initial consultation with the teacher, you will decide how many sessions to schedule. For those just beginning, it typically takes about ten weeks of sessions to incorporate yoga as a regular practice and begin experiencing the sustained benefits it offers. However, you may begin experiencing benefits soon after starting, from greater balance and flexibility to increased focus and energy. As you incorporate yoga in your life, you and your teacher may modify the number of sessions you do together, or the frequency at which you do them.

Individual Sessions

We offer personal one-on-one guided sessions in a space of your choice. You simply need a yoga mat and enough space for you to move around on the mat with ease. Contact us for more information and to schedule your sessions.

Group Sessions

Many people like to practice yoga with a small group or others – a partner, friend, colleagues or neighbors. Groups are limited to six, in order to allow the teacher to give as much guidance as possible. As with the individual sessions, these sessions are in a space of your choice.
